The heroic actions of 1 doctor - Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh - prevented a major Ebola outbreak in Nigeria and saved countless lives. Sadly, most healthworkers in Nigeria haven’t been taught the skills they need to do what she did, and most hospitals and clinics across the country aren’t prepared to identify or contain outbreaks of deadly infectious diseases. In a country of more than 190 million people with a high volume of domestic and international travel, this is a recipe for global disaster as infectious diseases don’t need passports to travel! We’ve already seen the impact among healthworkers we’ve trained. They’re now much better prepared to detect and contain infectious diseases and to keep people healthy and safe. We need your help to reach more healthworkers with this lifesaving training. Partner with us to ensure Nigeria’s health sector is protecting the health and well-being of its citizens. Our goal is to train 20 healthworkers who will cascade the training to others.
